Yesterday we had an excellent day distributing food to about 12 families. The two that remain the most vivid in my mind was the woman who had five little girls and was abandoned by the husband. She worked five hours a day milking cows and made $10 a month. Then we came across a man who had lost his wife 2 months ago and was left with three boys. His house was about the half the size of the youth room at church, and I had to squat down the whole time so I wouldn't hit my head on the ceiling. The poverty here is truly beyond words. This morning we had an excellent Sunday School lesson from Isaiah 55, translated by Carlos, followed by a sermon from Matt on Mark Chapter 8, also translated by Carlos! Tabatha, Makayla, and I took a mototaxi (motorcycle taxi)back to Villa Milagro from church. It was amazing! In about 30 minutes we are heading to the orphanage to play with the kids and roast hot dogs. Everything is going incredibly well. Brad, Tabatha has taken over 500 pictures so far, so I'll work on the Lorch family powerpoint when we get home. I am trying to post more pictures, but it takes so long on this internet connection to upload them from the camera. Hopefully I'll be able to work on it tonight.

Hi Chris and all our Church Family,
We did miss your smiling faces today, but know you are having a wonderful time doing great work in Peru. We really do wish we were there. Did you happen to see the woman and her daughter that made such an impression on our hearts the first time food was distributed? We look forward to hearing your stories and seeing all the pictures. Love in Him, Dave and Juanice
Chris, what a great report. We are excited what God is doing through you and your "biker babe". Love you Erin and Kelsey. We are sending you PDA.
Love Grandma and Grandpa
